Historical Collections

The Clarence J. Edwards Collection.  Pictures of Dr. Clarence J. Edwards, Abbeville physician and longtime editor of the Abbeville Meridional, and his family and associates; his diary covering the period from 1874 to 1881, with some gaps; his patient register for 1905-06; newspaper obituaries of Dr. Clarence Edwards, Henry Edwards, Kate Young Edwards, Dr. Francis deVillier Young, W. W. Edwards; and other materials.

The Robert H. Smith Collection.  [Coming soon.]  A collection of photographs from Abbeville's past, collected over the lifetime of Abbeville resident Robert H. Smith.

The Wilmer Geoffroy Collection.  Selections from the personal collection of Wilmer Geoffroy, longtime photographer for the Vermilion Parish School Board.

The Richard J. Guidry Collection.  [Coming soon.]  Photographs of Eugene DeMary and family, Demosthene Trahan and family, Henri Breaux, Ludger Chatagnier, and others.

The Robert Weill Collection.  [Coming soon.]  Photographs of the Wise, Sokoloski, and Weill families.
