World War II—Eleven Abbeville Heroes

 9.  Nicholas Trahan

Nicholas Trahan was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eliasin Trahan of Abbeville.  He had two brothers, Ashby A. Trahan and George Trahan, and two sisters, Mrs. P. C. Crooks and Mrs. E. S. O'Dea.  His grandmother, Mrs. Ubal Trahan, was still alive at the time of his death.

Nicholas was killed in action in France on July 15, 1944.  He was in the US Army infantry.

Nicholas has two nieces living in this area, Dean O'Dea Frost and Dorothy Trahan Greene to whom we are indebted for the picture above.
